Chihuahuas are the smallest dogs in the world. These creatures are referred to as toys dogs. Naturally, they have never been hunting or guarding dogs. The breed originated in Mexico, in the state of Chihuahua. They say that the breed existed at the times of ancient Incas and Aztecs or imported from South America by the Spanish Conquistadors.
Chihuahuas are actually easy to care for dogs. The coat needs regular brushing. Their ears need checked regularly and cleaned when necessary.
If you have decided to take this dog as a pet, you are to think well about their needs as these dogs are very people oriented and they require you to be around them as much of your time as is possible. When buying a puppy, mind you, do not jump to conclusions!
As a matter of fact, the Chihuahuas have no specific color pattern. The usual coloring of the breed is back. The eyes should be round and dark and are set well apart.
